Define Target Object Security Levels

What is iSecurity Native Object Security?

Defining security rights for native objects is the basis for all IBM i security. However, these activities are work-intensive and therefore very susceptible to errors and oversights. Native Object Security allows users to create a template of object settings for Power Systems including AS/400, iSeries, and System i. Using this template, companies can run reports to instantly identify any changes from the planned and settings. If objects are not according to plan, Native object security allows companies to restore the pre-defined plan settings.

iSecurity Native Object Security's capabilities enable system administrators to easily define target security levels per object and object type, and check for inconsistencies between actual and planned object settings. Native Object Security also enables using generic object names and includes full reporting features.

BENEFITS

  • Reduces non-compliance with company defined security policy settings. More productive and efficient way to manage security settings
  • Assures settings for object security are not changed and can be combined with iSecurity audit to automatically restore settings that were changed and send an alert of the activity.
  • Assures audit and compliance that the data is secure
  • User-friendly green screen and GUI interfaces
