SAVRS 7.02 represents a major leap in enterprise integration, access and usability, based on user requests and feedback.

In this release, SEA has significantly opened up IBM Z Sysout access & reporting using new Web User Interface (Web UI) and RESTful API add-ons that allow other systems to access SAVRS data.

“We are very excited to release SAVRS 7.02 with full Web UI capability. The new Web UI provides more flexibility by offering the full range of SAVRS functionality within the standard web browser format. Our new RESTful APIs open the SAVRS database for analysis by any enterprise application,” said Sal Del Conte, SEA Director of Professional Services and Support.

“The SAVRS Web UI and RESTful API add-ons extend access to the mainframe services and provide a more familiar Web UI for younger mainframe developers,,” added Del Conte. “SAVRS 7.02 demonstrates our commitment to help customers achieve a DevOps approach to accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of mainframe applications.” The new enhancements in SAVRS 7.02 include:

SAVRS Browser Access

SAVRS has been modernized with a new Web UI add-on,  allowing network users to access SAVRS from any device. SAVRS Users are no longer restricted to using TN3270 emulators to manage IBM Z Job Spool files and system logs. The Web UI expands SAVRS access to any user with a browser, enabling all organizational DevOps, developers, and IBM Z users to work with Job Entry Subsystem (JES) output.

RESTful APIs for enterprise integration

SAVRS includes a set of stateless RESTful APIs, that conforms with the REST architecture, allowing the users to integrate SAVRS data into other applications, scripts, or programs running on non-IBM Z systems, such as Windows, Linux, mobile, Web, and IOT devices.
